Join us round International Women’s Day for a very special night. Headline - Liv Torc has been featured by The Times, The Sunday Times and on BBC’s Radio 4 Today programme (as the show covered poetry for the first time ever). A former Bard of Exeter, host of The Rainbow Fish Speakeasy and The Hip Yak Poetry Shack, Liv runs the poetry stage at WOMAD, the COP26 project Hot Poets, Banana Poems and the lockdown haiku and photography project.
In 2019 her climate change in the face of motherhood poem, The Human Emergency went viral across the world and she was commissioned by Cape Farewell to explore climate change in the context of COVID. She has most recently performed at the UN in Paris, TEDxLondonWomen, the Southbank and been featured on BBCR4’s Poetry Please.
In 2022 she supported Hollie McNish and Roger McGough and is currently working with the UNFCCC to bring poetry into the climate change fight. Her books include Show Me Life, Banana Poems and The Human Emergency.
