Join Mellow Baku and a star studded programme of guests - for this specially curated edition - celebrating Black History Month and our exciting In-Real-Life return to Attenborough Arts Centre (!)
With poetry from Michael Brome (aka Sureshot, in association with Renaissance One - http://www.renaissanceone.co.uk), visuals by Leonie Dubarry-Gurr, songs from Luke Broughton and movement/spoken word from Ana Paz. The evening will include an open mic - and unique ensemble performance by members of the community, directed and supported by Mellow. The event will bring together some of Leicester and the UK's leading lights in poetry, art and music with a focus on black, brown and diverse artists - come shine with us.

Prior to the evening, join Mellow Baku (“A must for all” - Courtney Pine OBE) for this very special workshop - with poetry from you and music from Mellow. The session will explore themes of inclusion and difference and enable participants to access their inner creative voice, via a range of guided, grounding and mindful exercises. No experience necessary, all levels catered for - everybody welcome. The workshop will include an invitation to have your work included in a performance at WORD! later that evening.
